Key Characteristics: Zinnia elegans, known as common zinnia, is an old garden favorite with many cultivars available. They are bushy, leafy annuals with upright, hairy, branching stems. Sizes range from small-flowered dwarfs to large-flowered giants. Ovate to lance-shaped, opposite leaves clasp the stems.
